Ramada Plaza By Wyndham Ordu

The first hotel in a 3 week trip around the country where we were greeted with a smile, hospitality and kind attitude. The staff were amazing and all spoke English very well. The restaurant has a great view of the city and Black Sea and the food was 11/10. Because we are vegetarians, they made falafel just for us and it was the best falafel we ever tried. Felt like home and would definitely visit again. Thank you Ramada!

Stayed here for two nights on a bikepacking trip, and overall I’d say it’s kind of fine, 2.5 out of 5 would be my ideal review. First off, the AC doesn’t work, I changed rooms and it doesn’t seem to work in any of their rooms, and the rooms become insanely hot, like dripping sweat just sitting in the room hot. Second, there’s some weirdness around the service, most of the staff seem very well intentioned, and a few are quite good, but in general it’s mediocre. Perhaps it’s my lack of Turkish (and no one really speaks English that I spoke to at the hotel) but I asked repeatedly about the AC and never got an answer, changed rooms asked again etc but they didn’t seem to understand. Then when checking out they make you stand there and wait while they have someone go from housekeeping to check the minibar in the room, there could be a way faster system than this rather than making people stand there for 5 minutes. Also while I was checking out, I was in the middle of checking out when a Turkish guest walked up started speaking Turkish and the front desk person immediately switched to them, did the same thing had to check the mini bar, and then got them out before ever returning to finish checking me out. Finally, my second room was infested with ants, which I didn’t notice until I was near leaving. They were swarming on the wall and I believe they came in from the open window (which you have to have open to keep the room below 40 C) and I’ll attach a picture below if possible. I told the front desk person and showed them the picture and they just laughed saying they didn’t understand the word ant I was saying, with no regards to my experience staying in a room infested with ants. Overall, you’d be a bit better off looking elsewhere, although the hotel is fairly nice aside from those complaints. The one major major highlight is the restaurant, dinner was fantastic, like really exceptionally delicious especially the Halloumi salad!

It was excelent, if I could give a 10 it would worth it. I stayed 3 nights, the rooms were brand new, large and very comfortable. The personel was very kind, polite, friendly and helpfull, Aynur, Tugce, Inci, Semiha, Ozcan, Ali...The breakfast was excelent and very diverse . It has a big swiming pool, sauna, spa, and all kind of facilities. Very clean. I was participating on a meeting and the hotel has allot of meeting rooms, + 2 large ones with brand new projector, incorporated sound sistems and good wi-fi. The location is excelent, and the a la carte restaurant is SPLENDID with unbeliveble sea view. Also has airport transfer. You can see the photos. I greatly recomand this hotel.
